Capitola Junior Guards is a well-respected community program with a 35 year tradition of excellence to maintain. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our instructors, the support from the city and especially volunteers.
Volunteers help organize the competitions, do the fundraising and help make the program work every session. All of the volunteer activities are fun and directly involve the program.
If you want to get involved please email Michelle Bradley of the Junior Life Guard Parents Club Board at firstname.lastname@example.org, or use the volunteer submission form below.
Parents Club & Board
- The Parents Club is an all-volunteer, charitable organization focused on supporting the athletes and families who participate in the Capitola Junior Guard Program run by the Capitola Recreation Department. We provide information and advice to the parents of the participants. We raise money to support a college scholarship for those who have shown a significant commitment to the program and a Junior Guard program scholarship. We promote local community awareness, involvement and support for the program through various events that we sponsor or put on through the year. Our goal is to ensure the Capitola Junior Guard families have all the information and support they need to make the most of the program.
- The Board of Directors is an all-volunteer group of Junior Guard parents that participate in the planning and execution of the programs the parents club supports throughout the year. Becoming a board member is easy if you have a few hours each month to give to the program.
The Board meets on the second Monday of each month. If you would like more information on how you can participate in the Parents Club or the Board please contact a Board member or call Kim Carlton at (831) 234 – 9481.
